Guidance for Parents and Professionals: Welcome to the www.manosphere.ch platform, an initiative of männer.ch
With the release of the Netflix series Adolescence, the risks of masculinity-based radicalisation online have become visible to a broader public. Many parents and professionals express a need for information, guidance, counselling and support. The platform Vorsicht Manosphere! by männer.ch provides the necessary foundations.
The platform forms part of a broader project supported and accompanied by the Canton of Zurich (Department of Education and Parent Education Office, Zurich Cantonal Police, Zurich Cantonal Equality Office), the Canton of Geneva, the City of Zurich(Zurich Equality Office and Zurich Municipal Police) and the City of Winterthur(Extremism and Violence Prevention Office). The Federal Office of Police supports the project financially in cooperation with the Swiss Security Network in implementing the national action plan to prevent and combat radicalization and violent extremism.
The overall objective is that parents, family caregivers and professionals have the knowledge, orientation and practical skills required to respond appropriately to masculinity-based violence and radicalisation dynamics in digital environments.
Implementation Goals:
The platform www.manosphere.ch provides accessible, research-based and comprehensible information for parents and professionals. It has been online since 1 April 2026 and is funded at least until 31 December 2031.
Parents, family caregivers and professionals can access a free short consultation. The current pilot phase in the Canton of Zurich runs from 1 April to 31 December 2026.
A national mapping initiative and a national impulse and networking conference promote shared learning within and across cantons. The conference will take place on 2 November 2026 in Bern and will be opened by Federal Councillor Beat Jans.
